Kenji Ishimoto

Kenji Ishimoto began his hairstyling career at one of the top hair salons in Tokyo, Japan, while building his clientele and doing editorial work for both print and film. He relocated to New York and joined the team at Frederic Fekkai where he became an integral part of the education team. Kenji joined Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa in 2023 and continues his editorial work during NYFW, styling for such names as Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Altuzurra, and Kate Spade. After a life changing accident that left him injured at a very young age, Kenji decided he wanted to live a life of service. He is currently the director of the NPO Hope for All, working with women in Asia to support their education. Their collective efforts have established a beauty school in Nepal and Kenji is now one of the educators, paying it forward by teaching his craft to those interested in building a brighter future.
